Lesson of the day- when trying pick up a sock with your toe, aim away from your mouth when flicking it in the air.

Once more unto the breach, dear friends!
"I like too many things and get all confused and hung-up running from one falling star to another till I drop. This is the night, what it does to you. I had nothing to offer anybody except my own confusion."- Jack Kerouac, On the Road, Part 2, Ch. 4
In abandoning my previous blog, I had assumed that I would not miss it, but lo and behold, I had become attached to pouring out my heart to potential strangers and distant acquaintances (granted there were a good few close friend and family readers as well). I think there is something therapeutic about being able to complain without retribution.
In reference to the above quotation, it was brought to my attention a little while ago that I always tend to have various little projects and hobbies on the go with no concentrated effort put into any of it. I think it is because I want to taste a little of everything without having to finish a whole meal. However, I have decided to consolidate my efforts into a few specific spots so I can actually achieve something, which brings me to my gorgeous new bass guitar (I bought it on a whim the day before I left for Poland because it made me look cool).
I got one of those idiot books and started trying to teach myself. So far I can only manage simple bass lines, but boy do I look hot doing it- two pins to a side, long thin neck, curved solid black body with built in pre-amp- If I were a boy bass guitar (my bass is most definitely a girl), I would have sex with her in a second. Now if I can just figure out what an arpeggio is...
